Sounding The Alarm

On Sunday, June 20, 2010 at 5:00 pm, I am calling on women of God to come and join me in an afternoon of Prayer, Praise and Promise. Two years ago, on my 45th birthday, my sweet and beautiful 15 year old daughter was tragically and violently murdered. She was one of nearly 450 attendees at a birthday party. While this tragedy is certainly the most difficult occurence in my life and I would not wish the death of a child on any parent, it was during this difficult and dark period that I came to know God as my Saviour, my Comforter, my Redeemer. Shortly after I received the confirmation of her death, I prayed. I called upon Jesus to direct my path. During my prayer, I promised God that if He got me through my darkest hour, I would tell everyone that it was Him. His power, His might!!! About 3 months after my family laid my daughter to rest, I was up early one morning studying the Bible. I came upon the the Scripture Jeremiah 9:17 and it reads (I am somewhat paraphrasing) "Call for the mouring women and the skillful ones, because your tears sound an alarm in Zion, How we are greatly ashamed, How we've plundered. We've allowed death to come inside of our palaces, inside of our windows, to kill off our children.......... Thus says the Lord of Host, speak mourning woman". So, I am sounding the alarm. On May 24, 2008 God's annoiting reigned and I received a mandate to begin a Season of Prayer for Women. I did so. While originally I travelled over whether I believed that God had given me these instructions, I accepted that He had indeed. This "Gathering of Women" is all a part of this mandate. God oftertimes does not give all of the details of His Mandate to His children at one time. I received that to start a season of prayer is one thing however, God is looking for willing hearts to "get go the distance". During the afternoon of June 20, 2010, the women that assembly are saying "Lord we trust you to direct us". "We need you Lord to direct us on how to move to save our husbands and our children. Please join me. Write to me at thecarmentaylorjone@gmail.com for further details. I prayfully look to hear from you.
