Just A Little Time With Jesus

Good Morning,

Since I shared with you last, the testimony in the trial of the murder of my beautiful daughter, Breon Symonne Taylor, has concluded. Both Izac Mc Cloud and Jonzel Stringer were found guilty on all 57 charges. Izac, 16 y/o at the time of the shooting faces a maximum of 150 years and Jonzel, 19 y/o at the time of the shooting, faces 450 years. Without a doubt, witnessing the trial and the reading of the verdicts was one of the most crushing moments of my life. It troubles me that neither of them wept or showed sadness. I've seen greater uproar at the finalization of high school class schedules than what I saw on that day. I'm still troubled. When I started on this, my journey of afflictions", God allowed me to understand purposed. I am clear that I am to speak on this - the web of deception, destruction and death, that our young adult generation is caught up in. In my spirit was planted the scripture Jeremiah 9 (especially verse 17 on). Pray for our young people. I am calling a virtual candlelight vigil for this evening. Between the hours of 8 and 10:30 pm please join in my lighting a candle and saying a prayer.

Hello My Sisters

I pray and hope that this blogs finds you all in the best of health and spirits. I am beginning this blogsite primarily for christian women. The topics, will cover a vast array of interest, from current news to scripture and onto issues affecting the women of God. The comments are not up for debate but rather for expansion. I want us to be able to have candid, intimate conversation without the fear of condemnation. There are two items I would like to address. 1: every woman, especially every woman of color should immediate execute a subscription to Ebony Magazine. Have you all noticed how thin the publications have become. Ebony has been "good" to us!!! Where as would we have been able to see our beauty displayed for the world to see, to learn new fashion tips and beauty ideas, and to read articles announcing our success. 2. Every woman should join the National Council of Negro Women. I am convinced, and many women to which I have spoken over the last two years confer, that God is changing the world through "His girls" What do you think?

Sounding The Alarm

On Sunday, June 20, 2010 at 5:00 pm, I am calling on women of God to come and join me in an afternoon of Prayer, Praise and Promise. Two years ago, on my 45th birthday, my sweet and beautiful 15 year old daughter was tragically and violently murdered. She was one of nearly 450 attendees at a birthday party. While this tragedy is certainly the most difficult occurence in my life and I would not wish the death of a child on any parent, it was during this difficult and dark period that I came to know God as my Saviour, my Comforter, my Redeemer. Shortly after I received the confirmation of her death, I prayed. I called upon Jesus to direct my path. During my prayer, I promised God that if He got me through my darkest hour, I would tell everyone that it was Him. His power, His might!!! About 3 months after my family laid my daughter to rest, I was up early one morning studying the Bible. I came upon the the Scripture Jeremiah 9:17 and it reads (I am somewhat paraphrasing) "Call for the mouring women and the skillful ones, because your tears sound an alarm in Zion, How we are greatly ashamed, How we've plundered. We've allowed death to come inside of our palaces, inside of our windows, to kill off our children.......... Thus says the Lord of Host, speak mourning woman". So, I am sounding the alarm. On May 24, 2008 God's annoiting reigned and I received a mandate to begin a Season of Prayer for Women. I did so. While originally I travelled over whether I believed that God had given me these instructions, I accepted that He had indeed. This "Gathering of Women" is all a part of this mandate. God oftertimes does not give all of the details of His Mandate to His children at one time. I received that to start a season of prayer is one thing however, God is looking for willing hearts to "get go the distance". During the afternoon of June 20, 2010, the women that assembly are saying "Lord we trust you to direct us". "We need you Lord to direct us on how to move to save our husbands and our children. Please join me. Write to me at thecarmentaylorjone@gmail.com for further details. I prayfully look to hear from you.
